Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart aanwezig bij DPI Annual Meeting 2007!!

October 21, 2007 at 2:52 pm (Heavenly 2 me, cradle to cradle)

Het thema van 2007 is heel toepasselijk “Challenges for the future”.

I have had an amazing time when visiting the DPI congress in Maastricht on the 21st and 22nd of November. It was very interesting to meet a lot of people active in my industry and to hear their approach to good chemistry. This subject cannot be bypassed anymore and DPI noticed this when preparing their congress. Therefore they decided to invite Michael Braungart cofounder of Cradle to Cradle to give a presentation. This was a very good decision if you ask me because Michaels presentation seemed to make a big impression on the people present. Michael strongly advised DPI and everyone present to step up and support good chemistry as much as possible. He made us aware of the big role the polymer industry can play and the optimistic future we can achieve by uniting our efforts. I noticed that he inspired a lot of people present and look forward to all the great things they will do and we can do together!

Next to attending his presentation I was lucky to have the opportunity to meet Michael Braungart personally during these days. He joined for diner the first night and was very open to answer all the questions I asked. He answered them with the passion and believe I came to know and appreciate. Although I am just someone interested in cradle to cradle with a normal job and little impact on the world he was honestly interested in my thoughts and gave me the feeling I could make a difference. I was highly motivated to find my way to make a difference but now I am sure I will find my way.
